Through simple, modular transitions, standard highway acoustic barriers are transformed into dynamic surfaces. From the perspective of the driver, soft, kaleidoscopic shifts in color amplify the driving experience. When applied to overpasses and zoning edges, stationary observers can enjoy an implied velocity through the same tonal shifts. A family of modular elements allows for smooth transitions where barriers begin and end. Apertures to reveal landscape views and height adjustments relative to a variable topography are also accounted for within the modular system.
